MICHIGAN SHOULD REFUSE HEALTH CARE EXCHANGE

Fellow Michiganders:

I thank you for this opportunity to address the leadership of the great State of Michigan. Moreover, I promise to exercise brevity, as I am sure there are thousands who are sharing their concerns as well.

I just want to say, first of all, that I have been proud of the work that the Michigan Republican Party has done, over the past two years, to help take this state in right direction.

As most of you surely know, we were last in the nation in creating private sector jobs when Governor Snyder took office. We were at the top of the nation when it came to private sector jobs lost.

Thanks to the commitment of Governor Snyder’s administration for Michigan to be “open for business”, we have seen a reduction in the Michigan business tax and the fastest rate of job growth in the nation under Gov. Snyder’s leadership.

I am pleading with the Governor and the State Legislature to continue its great work and determination to keep Michigan “Open for Business”. This state much, in order to accomplish this, refuse the Health Care Exchange (Obama care) and, subsequently, reject its harsh impact on Michigan businesses.

The reality is that the Health Care Exchange will cost Michigan thousands of jobs. Employers will have no choice but to eliminate jobs in order to survive. Additionally, they will be forced to eliminate full time employees, creating an endemic of underemployment.

The Exchange is not good for the State economy. It is, indeed, bad for the people of the State of Michigan.

Imagine the overall effect. Less jobs, more crime, more schools closing, increase of dependency on State entitlement programs, and a host of other problems that will put Michigan right back where it was two years ago (times ten).

I trust that, upon further consideration, Governor Snyder and the State legislature will do what is in the best interest of the families of the State of Michigan who elected them and entrusted to “keep Michigan open for business”. Thank you for your every consideration.
